Student wins competition to name EvCC’s new student housing

Everett Community College student Jeff Noyes of Lake Stevens will receive $250 from Koz Development for coming up with the winning name for the college’s new student housing building: Mountain View. EvCC received 50 entries for the contest to name the 120-room residence hall. Mountain View will open in September.

YWCA seeks donations of shopping bags

Edmonds PCC to deliver groceries through Amazon’s Prime Now

PCC Natural Markets, which has a location in Edmonds, has announced it expanded its delivery options through partnership with Prime Now, Amazon’s two-hour delivery service. PCC is the first retailer in Seattle to partner with Prime Now on delivery of local, organic, sustainably-sourced food. The company also plans to open a new PCC location in Bothell this summer.

A new Jimmy John’s sandwich shop is now open at 2602 Broadway in Everett. The store is owned by local residents Steven, Mary, Melvin and Michael Shaw. It is the Shaws third store in Everett. The restaurant chain is known for fast, fresh sandwiches, online ordering and delivery options for as little as one sandwich.
