Verdant honors EdCC Foundation board members
Edmonds Community College Foundation board members Steve Pennington and Bill Keppler received Outstanding Community Advocate Awards at Verdant Health Commission’s Healthier Community Conference on Feb. 29. They served as co-chairs on the Foundation’s Boots to Books and Beyond Campaign raising $1 million to support student veterans and their families at Edmonds Community College.
Work Force Development Center program to be recognized
On March 15, Work Force Development Center’s Computer Numeric Controlled shop in Mukilteo will receive Safety Through Achieving Recognition Together status from the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries. The program recognizes occupational safety and health excellence that leads to a safer workplace. Only five other companies in the state have earned this recognition.

EvCC students apply for enrollment, financial aid on new electronic forms
Everett Community College students are beginning to use new electronic smart-forms to apply for enrollment and financial aid. This modernization is a result of a $190,000 contract that was awarded in November 2014 to AIRLIFT cloud software. Tacoma-based AIRLIFT said that, in the first week of operation, the school had an estimated savings of 40 man-hours after implementing just a single form.
