Norm Brown of Cdi Engineers in Lynnwood has been recognized in a national competition. Brown was awarded an honorable mention for his submission of the renovation project at Seattle Center’s McCaw Hall in the 2007 ASHRAE Technology Award Society competition, new public assembly category. Brown is one of only seven engineers nationwide to be recognized by the society. The $119 million McCaw Hall project previously won first place awards in the society’s local and regional levels. Brown’s project experience also includes Edmonds Center for the Arts.
Tony Smith has been promoted to the position of Allstate Insurance Co.’s Northwest regional financial services leader. He works from the company’s Bothell office. Smith, an Oregon native, joined Allstate five years ago and previously worked with Prudential Financial Services.

Mike Jackson has been promoted to the position of engineering manager at Monroe’s Canyon Creek Cabinet Co. A graduate of the University of Utah, Jackson has held key positions with other large cabinet manufacturers.
