The Everett Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Meeting luncheon will be from noon to 1:15 p.m. Jan. 30 at the Everett Events Center, 2000 Hewitt Ave., Everett. A marine refrigeration certification workshop will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 9 in the Nordby Conference Center at Fishermen’s Terminal in Seattle. The workshop deals with the Environmental Protection Agency’s marine refrigeration certification test. Certification is required for commercial fishermen to buy freon or do repair work on their refrigeration systems. The program is sponsored by the Washington Sea Grant Program at the University of Washington, and by Integrated Marine Systems of Port Townsend. The cost is $75. A marine weather workshop is planned for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 15-16 at the Washington State University Jefferson County Extension office, 201 W. Patison, Port Hadlock. The course is sponsored by the Washington Sea Grant Program, the Jefferson Education Center and the WSU Jefferson County extension.
