Renovate to sell: A team of real estate agents, lenders, inspectors and contractors offers a free class from 7 to 9 p.m. on the second Thursday of the every month with tips on turning a neglected home into a saleable property.

The Snohomish County Home Renovation Program topics will include identifying a home with “good bones,” and how to finance repairs and remodeling.

Buyers workshop: A free Washington State Housing Finance Commission Curriculum workshop is set for 5 to 10 p.m. Friday at ERA Dan Williams Realty, 430 91st Ave., No. 6, Lake Stevens.

Instructors Paula Forenza and Tom Lasswell offer this class on the ins and outs of today’s real estate market, and how first-time buyers may apply for federal tax stimulus credits.
