EVERETT — Fluke Networks will acquire a California-based network monitoring company, part of a deal that company executives called a “powerful” combination.
That’s another win for Fluke Networks, a wireless networks company that has grown through acquisitions this year despite — and possibly with help from — the economic downturn.
The ClearSight merger should provide access to technology that will help resolve problems before they affect network performance, said Fluke Networks President Arif Kareem.
“ClearSight’s network analysis solutions maximize network engineers’ ability to actively monitor critical links carrying high volumes of network traffic for performance bottlenecks, security anomalies and intermittent disruptions,” Kareem said.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed when the acquisition was announced this week.
ClearSight technology founder Sam Li called the merger “a natural fit” and touted his Fremont, Calif. company’s commitment to ease-of-use.
“Our products have defined ease-of-use in protocol analysis and application analysis visualization,” Li said. “We provide tools that are easy enough for less- experienced technicians yet deep enough for complex root cause analysis by senior engineers.”
This is the latest acquisition for Everett-based Fluke Networks. The company acquired AirMagnet, a wireless testing company in Sunnyvale, Calif., in August.
