For $1.28 million, Lake Stevens home offers custom luxury

This is a series taking a look at the most expensive homes sold last year in each region of Snohomish County. Today we’re looking at the northeast part of the county including Lake Stevens, Granite Falls and Darrington. (Northwest Multiple Listing Area 760.)

The Grecian spa with floor-to-ceiling columns, the tiled bath and the giant mounted marlin stand out.

The river feature in the courtyard that runs 40 to 50 feet and includes a waterfall with a pool of recycled water does as well.

But the master bathroom drops jaws with its completely-covered-in-marble walls to floor, a giant tub with the view of Lake Stevens, a walk-in shower and a cozy fireplace.

“It had an absolute blowout master bedroom and probably one of the most beautiful master bathrooms I have ever seen,” said Michael Sorenson, the listing agent who works for Windermere Real Estate in Everett.

The nearly 5,000-square-foot home in the 800 block of Stitch Road sold for $1.28 million last year, making it the most expensive home sold in northeast Snohomish County.

It was purchased by a man who owns a business in Snohomish County, but also has businesses in other countries, Sorenson said.

The four-bedroom, four-bath house was custom-built in the 1990s and sits along the shores of Lake Stevens, Sorenson said.

The waterfront includes a small beach with water hauled in from the outside and a solar-powered boat lift.

Several rooms offer views of the lake including the dining room, which was painted in bright blue hues. The home also included an exercise room, a built-in bar with an entertainment area to host parties and the Grecian spa with the over-sized bath.

“You could probably get 25 people in the thing,” Sorenson said. “I’m not exaggerating.”
