The Kuwaiti government won’t back a $3 billion order by Kuwait Airways to buy 19 Airbus, Boeing jets.
Kuwait Airways had placed an order through Aviation Lease and Finance Co., Alafco, for seven Airbus A320s and 12 Boeing Dreamliners.
The airline sent Alafco a letter canceling the order when it failed to get government financing, according to reports this morning.
