Over the next few months, the Boeing Co. could see orders from two airlines in the Middle East, according to reports published this morning.
Qatar Airways will look at Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner if Airbus doesn’t finalize the design on its A350 Extra Wide Body jet in time for the Paris Air Show in June, reports the Gulf Times. Two years ago, at the Paris Air Show, Qatar Airways picked the earlier version of A350s over Boeing’s 787. The carrier handed Airbus a commitment for 60 A350s worth more than $10 billion in 2005. Airbus has revamped its A350 several times, formally re-launching the A350 XWB last December. Additionally, the state airline of Jordan plans to announce a deal for eight Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners, according to a Middle Eastern newspaper.
