Port Angeles plywood mill back in business, hiring

PORT ANGELES — The Peninsula Plywood mill in Port Angeles has been hiring and expects to have 150 people working by next month.

The Peninsula Daily News reports the mill is preparing to start a second shift. Company President Josh Renshaw talked about the mill’s progress Tuesday at a Port Angeles Business Association meeting.

The mill opened in March at the site of the former KPly mill that closed in April 2008, laying off 132 workers.
