Machinists who work the third shift prepare to return to work at Boeing tonight after 57 days on strike.
Boeing’s Scott Carson sent this message to managers.
After resolving the strike, Carson says Boeing’s next challenge is to “restart our production and regain our momentum.”
“As managers, we need to be sensitive to the challenges we may face during the startup of production and the reintegration of our teams. Being flexible and respectful will help us work through whatever issues we may face as we return to normal operations.”
Carson notes that the challenges of the global economy are affecting Boeing’s airline customers, who “are counting on us to deliver our market-leading products.”
Machinists have until normal shift Nov. 10th to report back to work.
