The Boeing Co. and Dubai Aerospace Enterprise are discussing whether to cancel the leasing firm’s jet order, reports the Wall Street Journal on Friday.
The discussions come a day after Airbus cancelled off its orders from DAE.
The Dubai-based firm still has 56 jets on order with Boeing, including 35 737s, 15 747s and six 777s. DAE placed orders for 200 jets with Boeing and Airbus in 2007 but since has cancelled off most of those orders.
While Boeing confirmed talks with DAE, it said no cancellations have been made and that it isn’t expecting any.
