The impending closure of the Washington State Tourism office by the end of June has brought tourism industry stakeholders together to create the Washington Tourism Alliance, which is a consortium of industry professionals committed to destination tourism marketing for Washington State with a mission to advocate, promote, develop and sustain the economic well-being of the Washington tourism industry.
Since the WTA Industry Summit of March 31, the interim board of directors and volunteers have been invested in the development of a business plan, initial WTA bylaws, membership sign up/funding and working with the Department of Commerce on a transition plan for the State’s tourism assets. Come join this panel presentation of WTA Board and Volunteers to hear more on the present and future of state tourism marketing activities and how to sustain them.
All tourism industry stakeholders are encouraged to register for and attend this program.
Panel presenters include Jane Kilburn, Port of Seattle; Sandy Ward, Future of Flight; Monique Valenzuela Trudnowski, Adriatic Grill; and Katherine Kertzman, Seattle Southside.
Lunch will be served at noon. The program will run from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
To register, send your name and organization, city, phone, fax and email with a check or a Visa or Mastercard number with expiration date to the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau, 909 SE Everett Mall Way, C300, Everett, WA 98208, or fax to 425-348-5701. Registration deadline is Wednesday, June 15.
