If you have the cash – GMC has your truck.

The 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate crew cab short box with four-wheel drive is the most advanced and luxuriously appointed Denali model ever and the most advanced and luxurious pickup in its class.

“Sierra’s momentum continues to accelerate, as the fastest growing model in the segment,” said Duncan Aldred, global vice president of GMC and Buick. “With the 2022 Sierra, GMC is offering customers more advanced technologies, upscale appointments and increased capability across the Sierra lineup including the all-new Sierra Denali Ultimate.

Unique exterior styling cues, along with exclusive interior trim and features, are complemented with more standard equipment — including first-in-class available trailering-capable Super Cruise and the segment-exclusive CarbonPro composite cargo box, offering best-in-class short-bed cargo volume — to set a new standard for premium truck buyers who want to reward themselves.

The Denali Ultimate is distinguished by an exterior featuring a unique grille in exclusive Vader chrome, along with exclusive 22-inch wheels, finished in low gloss black with machined accents, Vader chrome GMC logo and unique front fender trim featuring Mount Denali. Additionally, GMC’s six-way MultiPro tailgate, the Denali premium suspension with segment-exclusive adaptive ride control, and power assist steps are standard.

My tester came with a “Titanium Rush Metallic” coat of enamel with a complementary interior clad in “Alpine Umber.”

Sierra Denali is powered by 6.2-liter Ecotec3 V8 engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The duo generates an impressive 420 horsepower, is rated to tow up to 9,300 pounds, and comes with an EPA rating of 20 miles per gallon down the highway.

Crew Cab allows for up to five passengers, all without complaint when it comes to legroom, headroom, and overall comfort. Features include full-grain leather seats with 16-way power front seats with massage feature. Other goodies include heated front and rear seats, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and a power moonroof.

Connectivity and technology standard features are highlighted by a 13.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bose premium series audio with 12 speakers, adaptive cruise control, rear camera mirror, Wi-Fit HotSpot, wireless charging, and XM satellite radio.

The short box receives LED cargo area lighting, GMC’s multi-pro tailgate with audio system by Kicker, power folding and heated mirrors, LED head, tail and fog lights, and dual exhaust with premium tips.

In addition, Sierra Denali comes with an auto-locking rear differential, two-speed transfer case, 120-volt bed power outlet, Stabilitrak with trailer sway control and hill start assist, and a trailer brake controller.

Safety and security features help put the Sierra Denali Ultimate over the top. The lengthy list of standard features include: Forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, following distance indicator, intellibeam auto-high beam, trailer blind side alert, rear cross-traffic braking, rear pedestrian alert, HD surround vision, enhanced auto emergency braking, and tire pressure

monitoring.

GMC has been manufacturing trucks since 1902. The Sierra Denali was built in Roanoke, Indiana.
