Okay, “Battlestar Galactica” groupies, get ready for a one-of-a-kind exhibit that will take you deep inside the iconic science-fiction television series.
“Battlestar Galactica: The Exhibition” opens this weekend at Seattle’s Experience Music Project/Science Fiction Museum.
It’s a new traveling exhibit that will feature “Battlestar Galactica” stars, three full-size spaceships, costumes and props from the original and re-imagined series, in addition to VIP previews, according to an EMP press release.
This opening weekend will also feature panel discussions with cast and producers of both “Battlestar Galactica” series, live taiko drumming performances and other activities.
The exhibition opens to the public at noon Saturday with “BSG: The Birth of a Legend,” where visitors can go behind the scenes of the 1978 series with tales from the original Colonial Fleet and invention of an empire, the press release said.
EMP curator Brooks Peck interviews “Battlestar Galactica” creator and producer Glen Larson and actor Richard Hatch (Apollo), according to the press release.
The exhibition runs through March 4 at EMP/SFM, 325 Fifth Ave. N., Seattle.
Tickets are $15 for adults; $12 for ages 5 to 17, students, military and seniors; free for members and children under 5. Call 206-770-2702, 877-367-7361 or go to www.empsfm.org.
