Signings

Lily Tuck will read from and sign “The News From Paraguay” at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Elliott Bay Book Co. Tuck’s previous books have included “Interviewing Matisse,” “The Woman Who Walked on Water” and “Other Places I have Lived.”

Lisa Jackson, author of “Deep Freeze,” will read from and sign her latest thriller at 6 p.m. Saturday at Third Place Books. “Deep Freeze” is about a serial killer who’s fixated on a movie star living in the Oregon foothills.

Library alert

Mystery writer Elizabeth George, who has been called a modern master of the English mystery, will talk about her novels and sign copies of her books, including the latest, “With No One As Witness,” at 2 p.m. March 20 at the Everett Library. George’s series characters are Scotland Yard Inspector Thomas Lynley and his sergeant, Barbara Havers. George will also sign books at noon March 22 at Seattle Mystery Bookshop.
