The celestial sounds of the harp are featured when the Cascade Symphony Orchestra performs Monday night in Mountlake Terrace.
Patricia Wooster, Heidi Dunlap and Patti Warden, concert artists from the Seattle area, will perform the Northwest premiere of a new work for three harps, “Knights of the Red Branch,” by Kevin Kaska.
Also on the program are three masterworks that reflect the symphony’s “Great Masters” season: Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 (“Pastorale”); “Capriccio Espagnole” by Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov; and Rossini’s Overture to the opera “Il Signor Bruschino.”
The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Mountlake Terrace Performing Arts Center, 21801 44th Ave W., Mountlake Terrace, with music director Michael Miropolsky at the podium.
Seating is limited so it is advisable to arrive early. Tickets, $13 to $18, will be available at the door until all seats are filled and are also sold in advance by calling 425-745-5921, 425-776-4938 and online at www.cascadesymphony.org.
