Here’s your chance to get a sneak preview of the Everett Symphony’s new digs and an earful of some of the pieces it will perform at its concert of patriotic music.
The Everett Symphony will open its new performance hall at the Everett Mall for a free public rehearsal, during which guests can hear music and enjoy treats.
Symphony members, lead by artistic director Ron Friesen, will play selections from the “Summon Our Heroes” concert program.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 26 at the new location at the old triplex at the Everett Mall, 1402 SE Everett Mall Way, Everett. A brief ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. and music will begin at 7:15 p.m.
The symphony has rehabilitated the movie theater.
The Everett Symphony’s “Summon Our Heroes: A Tribute Show of Support Concert” will be performed at 7:45 p.m. Aug. 30 in the grandstands at Evergreen State Fairgrounds, 14405 179th Ave. SE, Monroe. For more information go to www.everettsymphony.org.
