They Might Be Giants have gone platinum just one time, but the award certainly honored one of the group’s best albums.
The band’s 1990 release “Flood” distilled everything good about They Might Be Giants. It was playful, literate, unavoidably catchy and all-together great.
The album found a wide audience, and not only because of the Billboard hit “Birdhouse In Your Soul.” Younger audiences were introduced to the group on “Tiny Toons,” which used two tracks off of “Flood” in an episode.
