“Celebrating God’s Love for 125 Years”: Five Everett churches that started services in 1892 will join together for a concert at 3 p.m. Oct. 8 at First Presbyterian Church, 2936 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. The combined choir of 60 singers directed by Steve Torrence and David Spring, a children’s choir and instrumentalists will perform hymns and more. An offering will be taken to benefit Housing Hope and Catholic Community Services. Churches involved are First Presbyterian, First Baptist, Trinity Episcopal, Our Savior’s Lutheran and Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
Edmonds-Woodway High School Jazz Band: One of the best high school jazz bands in the nation, the EWHS jazz band, under the direction of Jake Bergevin, performs with sax player Roxy Cross at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10 in the EWHS theater as part of the Earshot Jazz Festival.
