Concerts: Presales to Phoenix, Ben Gibbard, Bon Jovi, plus Alice in Chains returns

I can’t get excited about Bon Jovi adding a second Seattle date after hearing the group’s awkward ode to the working man — yikes — so instead, let’s talk about Phoenix.

The group’s latest album, “Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix,” is easily the most fun, jittery, upbeat album of the year.

The group will play Seattle in December as part of 107.7 The End’s Deck the Hall Ball. That show sold-out, doubtlessly thanks to headliner Muse, a group that appeals to vampires.

Phoenix, however, will return in January, which should make fans of the French band thankful; they’ll be able to see a full set from the group.
