Akaida is a gorgeous girl looking for a family with working breed experience. She is very intelligent and knows several commands. She can become bored very quickly and will destroy household items when left alone. Due to her possessiveness over toys she will need an adult only home. She loves to swim, fetch, cuddle and play with toys. She has lived with other dogs but it takes her awhile to warm up. She will need a meet and greet with any resident canines and a feline free home. The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.
All pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and given a identifying microchip before they are adopted. Take a look at some of the dogs, cats and other animals that are available for adoption at the shelter now. Here is the previous post featuring animals up for adoption.
If you’re interested in adopting an animal, the shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 425-257-6000.
Larsen is a 7 year old husky that has lived outside only. He will need secure husky fencing with a roof on it when left alone. Larsen will need a meet and greet with any resident dogs but they will need to be at least his size. This active fellow will make a great hiking buddy. Larsen will need a feline and critter free home. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Laurie came into the shelter in rough shape. Our vet staff removed a benign mass from her leg and ran bloodwork. She is now ready to find her forever family! She is looking for a home without small children. She has done OK with other dogs here at the shelter but would like a meet and greet with any resident canines. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Lucy is a very active engaging dog! She is crate and house trained and loves going runs. She has lived with other dogs and enjoys their company but can sometimes be a pest. Lucy is a very strong dog that needs a strong confident handler. She knows several tricks including high five! Lucy does need a secure fenced yard and to travel in a crate while in vehicles.
