Jonases Drake, of Smokin’ B.J.’s in Lynnwood, has been named a finalist in the Young Chefs competition sponsored by the Chaine des Rotisseurs. Each year the Chaine holds its Jeune Commis contest to name three talented up-and-comers to represent the area in the regional competition. Jonases placed seconded.
Candidates were presented with a mystery basket of ingredients, and then had two hours to prepare a full meal for the judges. The regional competition will be in March at Renton Technical Institute.
