In honor of this momentous occasion, and it being their 84th birthday and all, the minimart is giving away 7.11-oz. Slurpees in a special commemorative cup.
A little Slurpee history: The famed ice drink was invented in 1959 using a car air conditioner that froze the carbonated soda and dispensed it in sherbetlike consistency. Today there’s a Slurpee machine that does it all.
