Do the “Bird Box” challenge the right way — safely

1. High tide future.

If the tides look especially high over the next few days, download the MyCoast app and snap a picture.

It’s for science.

King tides — a term for especially high tides — are predicted for Jan. 20-22 around the Puget Sound. The smartphone app will send photos of the tides directly to Snohomish County Surface Water Management.

Scientists will study these photographs to understand what high tides could look like in the future as oceans rise due to climate change.

2. “Bird Box” challenge.

This should go without saying, but please don’t drive blindfolded.

Not even if you’re filming it for internet points. We’re looking at you, Jake Paul.

The surprise hit Netflix movie “Bird Box” starring Sandra Bullock — who wears a blind fold to avoid suicidal impulses from mysterious entities — has inspired high-profile YouTubers like Paul to do normal activities that are risky while wearing a blindfold.

YouTube has condemned dangerous “Bird Box” challenges, but there are safe ways to have fun with it.

Pick out your clothes without looking. Have a blindfolded dinner party. Watch a movie or TV show with the audio description turned on.

3. Super Bowl stats.

Odds are the New Orleans Saints will win Super Bowl 53.

At least that’s what the bookies for Bookmaker.eu predict will score big at the big game.

The Kansas City Chiefs are currently the second favorite, followed by the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams.

The Saints’ star quarterback Drew Brees also is most likely to be Super Bowl 53’s MVP. Who is least likely to be MVP? James Develin, fullback for the New England Patriots.
