This is the last weekend of having some homegrown fun as the Evergreen State Fair wraps up this summer’s events, exhibits and carnival.
According to the fair website — www.evergreenfair.org — today is Armed Forces Day, when members of the armed forces and emergency services employees are admitted to the fair for $5.
Saturday is Rodeo Day with the Pro-West Rodeo performing at 7 p.m. Purchase tickets two hours before the show and see the High Valley Riders Drill Team and the Warm Beach Vaulters.
Sunday is Demo Derby Day with the demolition derby and fireworks starting at 7 p.m.
The Evergreen State Fair ends with Play Day Monday with barrel races, the 4-H awards and the Baby Diaper Derby.
The fair is at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds, 14405 179th Ave., SE, Monroe.
Fair hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; carnival hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Regular admission is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and youth and free for kids 5 and younger. For Labor Day, adults get in for $7.50 and seniors and youth get in for $5.50.
