Everett Community College’s Northlight Gallery is showing works by metal sculptor David Taylor through March 30.
Taylor, a former Boeing engineering planner who taught welding at the Sno-Isle Skills Center, said the three-dimensional creatures he creates have been hidden in his imagination. And hidden in remnant pieces of metal and other salvaged stuff.
For instance, the exhibit will feature a stainless-steel unicorn and a 7-foot shark made from welded pieces of a file cabinet.
Taylor, of Everett, began creating metal sculptures in 2003. All his cutting and forming is done by hand, using scrap and remnant metals.
EvCC’s Northlight Gallery is in the Parks Student Union Building at Everett Community College, 2000 Tower St., Everett.

Richard Armstrong is showing bronze and concrete sculptures through March 31. Evelyn Sheffer has just hung her exhibit of vibrant abstract acrylic paintings and collages. That show runs through April 15.
