‘Everett Sounds’ features compilation of city’s music scene

“Live in Everett” — a blog focused on good things happening in the city — has released a compilation album of music by Everett bands.

“Everett Sounds” Volume One is available starting today, Nov. 25, for $10 in CD format and for digital download at www.liveineverett.com/shop.

The full-length album features a vibrant mix of Everett bands and musical artists, said Tyler Chism, who, along with fellow Everett advocate Garret Hunt, put the CD together. The cover design is by Everett artist Alex Vincini.

Featured on the album are Jason Webley, I Will Keep Your Ghost, TELLERS, Fauna Shade, Crystal Desert, Jess Lambert, Leava, The Moon is Flat, Johnny Lee Ledford, Oliver Elf Army, The Porters and Campion.

“‘Everett Sounds’ is our way of sharing and supporting Everett’s seriously awesome music scene,” Chism said. “It turned out to be a really great album all the way through. This isn’t because we curated it, it’s because Everett is home to some very talented musicians who are working really hard and taking risks.”

Brad Heyne of TELLERS is proud to be a part of the album.

“We love to be able to share it with everyone whether they live here or somewhere else,” Heyne said. “We couldn’t imagine where we’d be as musicians if it weren’t for Everett and the inspiration it continues to provide.”

Simon Nicol from the band Leava agreed.

“This is a cool record; it documents a special time for me and the bands on it,” Nicol said. “It feels really good for Leava to be on a compilation with a few bands I’ve also been able to work with producing. This was curated in an honest and unique way for the bands here.”
