This simple and sophisticated warm “cocktail” from Mary Lou Heiss and Robert J. Heiss’ “Hot Drinks” contains lots of juice and no alcohol, making it a good choice for warming up with the whole family.
And once the kids are in bed, you can always add a shot of vodka.
If you have trouble finding guava juice, try another tropical or citrus juice, such as nectarine.
1/2cup ruby red grapefruit juice
1/2cup cranberry juice cocktail
1/2cup guava juice
1/4cup lime juice
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the grapefruit juice, cranberry juice cocktail and guava juice. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to keep at a simmer for 5 minutes.
Stir in the lime juice, then serve in sherry or port glasses.
Makes four servings.
