We remember when Mom would stitch up holes in our socks to make them last longer. But the time always came when there was more stitching than sock. Boy that hurt!
Today socks are less expensive and more available than ever before. Eventually, they wear out, and it just doesn’t make sense to t
hrow them away. Here are a few uses you may not have thought of:
Make a dog pull toy, but be sure to rinse out all bleach and soap first.
How about a dish-washing glove, a car washing glove, or better yet, a motorcycle washing glove?
Buff on, buff off: Remember the movie “The Karate Kid?” When the car, bike and cycle are clean use an old sock to “wax on” and wax off.” What could possibly be a better buffer?
Dust up: Soak a sock in white vinegar and wring it out really well and you can use it to clean and dust furniture and blinds. Why pay for disposable dust cloths. Old socks are free.
Moving furniture is easy. Place a sock under each leg and slide away.
