* “Java Cuisine”: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Nov. 2, $40. A class for Northwest coffee aficionados and culinarians alike. Coffee and ancho chile rubbed short ribs, grilled flank steak with coffee and black pepper marinade, coffee-brandy crme brulee; spiced coffee with spiked whipped cream and bourbon mocha.

* “Crock Pot Gourmet’: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 8; Chef Susan Klingler shows how to make something extraordinary in the crockpot: coq au vin, Turkish lamb and pin nut balls; pork chops in orange sauce and ravioli casserole; $40.
