On July 4, Great Harvest Bread Co will be at the Navy Pier for the Navy’s Freedom Family Bash. Their Fourth of July offerings are fantastic. Red White and Blueberry Bread ($6.50/loaf), Star Spangled Banner Swirl Bread with cherries, blueberries and white chocolate ($6.95/loaf) and Flag Twirler Cookies, made with blueberries, cherries, coconut and white chocolate chips ($1.65 each).
The Everett Great Harvest menu has expanded to include gourmet salads. Ready to eat-in or take-out, they are the perfect way to balance out those summer barbeques. Enjoy Addicting Chicken Salad: Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, purple onion slices, a sprinkle of spicy pecans and choice of dressing on the side ($6.95); Terrific Tuna Salad: Tuna, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, purple onion slices and your choice of dressing on the side. Topped off with a pickle ($5.95); Great Garden Salad: Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, green &red peppers, cucumbers, purple onion slices, croutons and choice of dressing on the side ($4.95); Delicious Deli Salad: Romaine lettuce, sliced ham &turkey, cheddar &Swiss cheese, purple onion slices, tomatoes and choice of dressing on the side ($5.95)
For the summer Great Harvest entertains the kids with a tour of the bakery. As they discover the giant ovens and enjoy a free slice of bread, they’ll learn about healthy whole grains and nutrition. Tours can be arranged with the front counter staff. Adults looking for their own tour can join in on one of the free food classes:
