Ellie is a beautiful senior who is dreaming of her happily ever after. She loves going for car rides and lounging in the sun but her favorite thing to do is be right beside her person. This girl is loving and gentle and has impeccable house manners. Ellie is a favorite among shelter volunteers and staff because she has such a sweet disposition. Ellie will need a home without other animals. There will be no exception to this rule. Ellie weighs 79 pounds. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.
All pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and given a identifying microchip before they are adopted. Take a look at some of the dogs, cats and other animals that are available for adoption at the shelter now.
If you’re interested in adopting an animal, the shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 425-257-6000.
Leslie came to us a stray, so we don’t know that much about her past. She does not enjoy the company of other dogs or cats. She will need a home where she can be an only pet. She walks well on a leash and knows some basic commands. She takes a little time to warm up to strangers. No apartment type living. Any children in the home will need to come and meet Leslie. If you feel you’re her special home, come meet this girl. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Luna is an active young husky looking for an experienced home. She will need a meet and greet with any resident dogs and a feline small critter free home. Luna will need a refresher course on house training and will need plenty of daily exercise. Luna is not suited for apartment style living. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Zeus has been passed through homes a little and is now looking for his forever home. Zeus is a lovely boy and as a chow mix his new adopters should be aware of the breed. Zeus needs an adult only home and a meet and greet with any resident dogs. He needs to be with a more submissive but confident dog and he is a vocal player. No cats.
