Fun with LOLcats old and new

What was procrastination like before LOLcats? Many of us put those dark ages out of our memories.

But the history of putting funny, all-caps captions over pictures of cats may be older than just about anyone living can remember.

If a claim from icanhascheezburger is correct, the practice dates back to 1905. The world’s oldest LOLcat is supposedly a postcard found in a Seattle antique store.

There’s even a Ken Burns-style video parody that claims LOLcats originated with the ancient Egyptians:
