Barry is here looking for his new understanding home. His behavior needs are many and he just wants a person to call his own. Barry does not like other animals so will need to be the king of his castle. He also does not appreciate children and this would include any visiting youngsters. Barry will go with you most places as he does not like to be left alone. With all of this Barry has quickly become a volunteer favorite and has been very well behaved while here. The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.
All pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and given a identifying microchip before they are adopted. Take a look at some of the dogs, cats and other animals that are available for adoption at the shelter now. Here is the previous post featuring animals up for adoption.
If you’re interested in adopting an animal, the shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 425-257-6000.
Mason is a loyal guy looking for a forever home. He loves to go for walks and be with his people. He will need a meet-and-greet with any resident canines. Any children in the home MUST be over 13 years old and able to give him his space. He knows several commands and loves to go for car rides. Mason has shown some signs of separation anxiety while at the shelter. He chews on the kennel door and injured his tooth. He cannot be housed in chain link fencing, wire crates or anything similar. He may chew household items if left alone so his new family will need to have a plan in place to handle this issue. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Noel is all terrier! He is very tenacious and opinionated and a love when things go his way. He came to us with a skin infection but has recovered nicely. He will need an adult home that is free of felines. Noel is selective of his doggy friends so will need a meet-and-greet. He needs time to adjust to new situation and a patient owner with terrier experience. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
