It’s warm, it’s sunny. I’m not in the Pacific Northwest anymore.
I’m in a big ballroom inside the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Pasadena, Calif., waiting for HBO’s three-hour presentation that will include talk about “The Wire,” as well as Spike Lee’s upcoming documentary, “When the Levees Broke,” about Hurricane Katrina and its impact on New Orleans.
We just wrapped up an FX session about Morgan Sperlock’s documentary series, “30 Days.” I had to duck out for a few minutes to check in on the radio with Pat Cashman on KRKO, 1380 AM. I’ll post the archived version of that segment as soon as KRKO gets it online.
That’s about it. Just waiting for something to write about today. Up first from HBO is an original miniseries called “Tsunami: The Aftermath.” HBO calls it “a tale of personal loss, survival and hope that celebrates the best of the human spirit during the worst times” as it explores the fallout after the tsunami that devastated the Andaman coast of Thailand in December 2004.
