Dalton will be showing some of his best sellers, which are butter bells, also called French butter dishes, pie pans and honey pots. New this year will be one-piece planters with the drainage pans attached. Dalton said he also played around with some new designs with his last glaze firing, producing a variety of patterns that are one of a kind.

Lowell Art Works is presenting a holiday art glass show from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday, with an artists reception starting at 5 p.m., and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the gallery, 5205 S. Second Ave., Everett.

This is the second year for the glass show at Art Works’ studio in the historic SoLo district of Everett in the old brick plumbers and fitters union hall. The show will include sparkling glass bowls, vases, goblets, painted fused glass, ornaments, paintings, prints and cards.

The attending artists this year are Bob Mitchell, Callahan McVay, Merrilee Moore, Tami Hanna-Freeman, Bob Hoverter, Cheri O’Brien and Janet Foley.

Raven Rocks Studio on Whidbey Island is celebrating the holidays with a show, “The Colors of Joy: A Celebration,” that will include new contemporary and seasonal artwork by Mary Jo Oxrieder and Windwalker Taibi throughout the month of December.

The opening reception, also the start of the Langley Artwalk, will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Raven Rocks Studio, 220 First St., Langley.

The featured artwork will be hand-woven tapestry purses and wall hangings in silk, linens, wools and mixed fibers, hand-made holiday and note cards, inspirational mixed media wall plaques, corkscrew willow wreaths, hand-stitched medicine bags, new fantasy house paintings and cards. Also available will be hand-made pewter icicles, genuine cast brass sleigh bells and hand-dipped beeswax candles.

Ya sure, Finnish painters: “Kolmenkertainen Suomalainen: Three Times Finnish” is an exhibit featuring the art of three Finnish painters who produce work that is linked to their heritage.

The work will be on display starting today and through Feb. 3 at the Nordic Heritage Museum, 3014 NW 67th St., Seattle.

Finnish-American painters Peter Juvonen, Diane Liljelund and Matt Timo each explore a personal connection to Finland. Juvonen works primarily in acrylic on canvas. Liljelund is known for her oil paintings and installations across the United States and in Europe. Timo is compelled by the image of an indistinct, faceless human figure and uses acrylics, colored pencil and collage.
