Another Kennedy memoir? JFK’s lone surviving sibling, former ambassador to Ireland Jean Kennedy Smith, is set to publish her entry into the established oeuvre in October.
Titled “The Nine of Us,” the book will feature “charming stories” of growing up Kennedy as well as the lessons passed on by her parents, Joe and Rose Kennedy, Smith’s agent tells Irish Central. Kennedy Smith, 88, was one of nine siblings, a group that included former President John F. Kennedy, former attorney general Robert Kennedy and former Sen. Edward Kennedy.
Sounds far more flattering than the last book by a member of the fabled political clan — former Rep. Patrick Kennedy, D-Rhode Island, last year penned an account of his own drinking and drug addiction, portraying an uglier side of the famous family.
