Name: Rochelle Rhone
Age: 16
Hometown: Everett
High School: Everett High School
Occupation: Forest Park Animal Farm staff worker
Pros: This is my first job and it is amazing! I love being able to work with all the animals (including the goats, cows, ducks, rabbits…). I enjoy coming to work and being able to see Lizzy. She is the farm’s one and only lamb, and she is my favorite! You also get to work with the public, which I love. I like talking to families and little kids. I teach a class for little kids, and it’s always fun to hear what the kids have to say. My favorite part about the farm is feeding the goats their milk out of their bottles. They get so excited when they see their bottles. They go crazy!
Cons: Having to wake-up early is probably the worst thing about my job! I have to be at the farm every morning at 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The other bad thing about this job is the poop! I get paid to clean poop. The cows are the worst! Having to clean up cowpies all around the yard, and after you think you have cleaned them all up there’s a dozen more! When you are trying to use a wheelbarrow all eight of the goats are jumping into the wheelbarrow and knocking it over. The job isn’t the most glamorous, but it’s mine, and I love it!
