KPLU listeners are hearing changes in the station’s on-air host lineup this week.
Dick Stein, who has hosted the second half of KPLU’s “Midday Jazz” from noon to 3 p.m. weekdays since 1992, has moved to the 9 a.m. to noon time slot.
Stein’s weekly feature, “Jazz Kitchen,” will remain in its regularly scheduled time slot at 12:04 p.m. Thursday.
Robin Lloyd, who has been with the station for six years and hosts KPLU’s Saturday night “All Blues” show, has moved into Stein’s afternoon slot, from noon to 3 p.m. weekdays. Starting today, John Kessler, host of KPLU’s Sunday night “All Blues,” will host both Saturday and Sunday “All Blues” shows from 6 p.m. to midnight.
Effective July 5, Dave Meyer, KPLU’s “Morning Edition” host since 1988, moves to weekday afternoons from 3 to 6 p.m. He’s switching places with Paige Hansen, current host of KPLU’s “All Things Considered,” who will be heard from 4 to 9 a.m. weekdays.
