What: A selection of easy cross-country trails around Lake Wenatchee State Park.
Where: Take U.S. 2 20 miles east of Stevens Pass and turn north on Highway 207. Drive 4.5 miles to the park.
Length: A total of about 17 miles of trails.
Difficulty: Easy.
Permit: Washington State Sno-Park groomed trails permit.
Notes: We’re getting toward the end of the cross-country skiing season, but there’s still plenty of snow in the hills. The most recent grooming report from the Lake Wenatchee trails says that there are a few thin spots, but most of the paths are in good condition. The trails north of the park wind through the campground and along the river, while the longer south trails loop through the forest and along the lakeshore and river.
