As a young animator, Hal Sutherland worked at Disney Studios on such films as “Sleeping Beauty” and “Peter Pan.”
After his time with Disney, Sutherland continued his career at Harmon Studios in the mid 1950’s, where he would be one of the animators that worked on the prototypes for characters featured in the adventures of “Tintin”.
Visitors can meet Sutherland and view some of his original artwork from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 10 at Knight Visions Studio Gallery, 19533 Filbert Drive, Bothell. You can go to Knight Visions Studio for more information or call 425-487-3408.
At this exhibit opening, visitors will see some of Sutherland’s original animation artwork from such shows as “Fat Albert”, “Tarzan,” “lassie” and “Pinocchio” and the “Emperor of the Night” and “Star Trek” along with original production sketches and original production cells from “Tintin” prototypes that were in collaboration with Harmon Studios, original storyboards from “Popeye” and “Bozo the Clown” and his original fine art.
The gallery carries Sutherland’s artwork and the show will be up into January.
