Voices of the Village and Al Foxx: The Arlington-based performance group of developmentally disabled people is joined by nationally known comedian Al Foxx in a benefit concert scheduled for 3 p.m. Aug. 7, Byrnes Performing Arts Center, Arlington High School, 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd., Arlington. Peter Galperin: A New York singer and songwriter originally from Everett will perform one show only at 8 p.m. Aug. 11 at Amici’s Bistro, 8004 Mukilteo Speedway, Mukilteo. Admission is free.

Hometown Hootenany: A Snohomish County showdown of talent. Twenty local singer/songwriters vie for prizes in these categories: Adult Vocalist, 16 & Under Vocalist, and Songwriter. The show is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Aug. 13 at Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 12 and under.
