Pacifica Chamber Orchestra: The 2024-25 season begins Oct. 5 with music by Howard Hanson, Ernest Bloch, the U.S. premiere performance of Ruth Gipps’ Cringlemire Garden, Impression for String Orchestra, and the Concerto for Organ and String Orchestra by Jon Laukvik, Youngjin Joo, organ solo. On Dec. 7, PCO’s Annual Showcase of Local Young Musicians will present Joyce Ye, piano soloist and Alex Chen, cello soloist who will perform music by Mozart and Haydn. Also on the program is String Lake by Pulitzer Prize winner Jennifer Higdon plus music by Peter Warlock and Josef Suk. Four living composers’ works will be performed Feb. 22, 2025: Chicharra by Nicholas Repetto, The Flow of Compassion by M. Torumtay Altan, Movement for String Orchestra by Stefan Diehl, and Stephanie Ann Boyd’s A Kaleidoscoped Menagerie. Pacifica Chamber Orchestra performs at Zion Lutheran Church, 4634 Alger Ave., Everett. All concerts are set for 3 p.m. Saturdays, with tickets sold at the door 30 minutes before each concert. The season continues with Music for the Imagination on Dec. 1, That Magnificent Mozart! on Feb. 23, 2025, the Everett Philharmic Orchestra Gala on April 6, 2025, and Listener’s Choice on June 1, 2025.

Lynnwood Event Center: The “Longing For Home” art exhibit, presented by the Korean American Artists Association of Washington State, will run through Dec. 13 at 3711 196th St. SW, Lynnwood.

Wintertide Lights: Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens, 145 Alverson Blvd in Everett today announced that Wintertide Lights will return this year, open nightly from 4-8 PM, December 1-31, with a special two-hour Luminary Solstice Walk on December 21st from 5-7 PM.
Wintertide Lights, now in it’s 5th year, began as a way for the community to gather safely during the pandemic in December of 2020. It’s popularity with locals and visitors is beyond debate. Free and open to all, Wintertide Lights has quickly become a family tradition.
