This Christmas concert combines a little bit of country and a little bit of rock and roll.
About 30 members of the Navy Band Northwest gather tonight at Everett Performing Arts Center to present their holiday concert.
This concert is free and no tickets are required, so walk-ins are all welcome.
The concert will feature traditional Christmas music, a nod toward Hanukkah, a rendition of “Christmas Lights” by Coldplay and a version of country group Lady Antebellum’s “All I Want For Christmas is You.”
The format will include the traditional “Christmas Intrada,” classics by Irving Berling (“White Christmas”), Big Band takes on “Santa Baby” and “The Christmas Song,” and the sweeping “O Holy Night.”
The nod toward Hanukkah is the song “The Eighth Candle.”
There will also be two special visitors: One is Santa and the other is a surprise.
“It’s a very exciting and very enjoyable holiday show geared toward kids of all ages,” said Robert J. “Seph” Coats, director of Navy Band Northwest. “If you are a kid or you’ve been around for awhile, there’s something for you from top to bottom.”
The Navy Band Northwest’s Holiday Concert starts at 7 tonight at Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave., Everett.

Navy Band Northwest will also perform its holiday show at 3 p.m. Saturday at Oak Harbor High School, 950 NW Second Ave., Oak Harbor. This performance is also free and also includes an appearance by Santa Claus.
