• Beach Camp at Sunset Bay, on Norma Beach Road in Edmonds. A watersports day camp for kids, ages 10-17, with weekly sessions 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, until Sept. 2, $350 per child. Includes kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, wake boarding and innertubing. Register with Edmonds Parks and Recreation, 425-771-0230, www.reczone.org.

Everett Mountaineers: Meetings at 7 p.m. first Wednesday of the month, Snohomish County East Administration Building, 3000 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. www.everettmountaineers.org.

Over-the-Hill-Hikers: Various times on Thursdays, Edmonds Senior Center, 220 Railroad Ave.; www.scscedmonds.org. Most trips cost $13 for senior center members and $16 for nonmembers. Call Larry Weimer, 425-513-9374, before signing up for the trip. For all hikes meet and park at United Methodist Church, 828 Caspers St., Edmonds. Each hike is limited to 10 people.

Pilchuck Audubon Society: Birding trips, pack a lunch if it’s not provided; www.pilchuckaudubon.org.

• Mount Rainier — Silver Falls Loop Trail; Meet at 8 a.m. Aug. 21 at Everett Mall (near the transit facility by LA Fitness). Six-mile loop along the Ohanapecosh River. National Park entrance fee $15 or Golden Eagle Pass. Leader: Jonathan Blubaugh, 425-244-7633, aracfi@msn.com.

• Highway 20 from Rockport to Diablo Dam; Meet at 7 a.m. Aug. 23 at Quilceda Village Walmart. Expect lots of wood warblers. Leader: Virginia Clark, 360-435-3750.

• Tuesday August 30, Stillaquamish and Sauk River; Meet at 7:30 a.m. Aug. 30 at Quilceda Village Walmart. Explore areas near the rivers around Darrington. Leader: Virginia Clark, 360-435-3750.
