Fort Casey State Park on Whidbey Island soon will have electrical hook-up campsites, according to the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission.
Installation of underground electrical power and water line repairs will upgrade 14 campsites.
The $20,000 project is funded by deferred maintenance, and is expected to take 30 days.
Work is scheduled to begin Sept. 19. The campground will be closed, but day-use areas will remain open.
Fort Casey State Park is a 467-acre marine park near Coupeville. It features a lighthouse and sweeping views of Admiralty Inlet and the Strait of Juan de Fuca, with 10,810 feet of saltwater shoreline.
Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
