Darrington Community Dance: Contra, square and family dances on second Saturdays through April, Mansford Grange, 1265 Railroad Ave., Darrington; 206-402-8646. Suggested donation of $7.

Dudes and Dolls Square Dance Club: 8 p.m. mainstream (rounds 7 to 8 p.m.) the second, fourth and fifth Fridays at Cedar Valley Grange, 20526 52nd Ave. W, Lynnwood. Cost is $7. Square dancing keeps the body and brain healthy with socializing on and off the dance floor. Also, new dancer lessons for family members age 10 to 100 start 7 p.m. Jan. 10 at the grange. Edmonds Senior Center: Fling Dance with live bands, 1 to 3 p.m. Fridays at Edmonds Senior Center, 220 Railroad Ave. Cost is $4 and includes coffee and snacks. No partner necessary. Easy beginning line dance class Mondays at 3:30 p.m. for $4 a person and dance sampler class Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m. for $5 a person. Class includes foxtrot, swing and waltz instruction. Freewheelers Square Dance Club: Mountlake Terrace Community Senior Center, 23000 Lakeview Drive; www.squaredanceseattle.com. Dances are 7 to 10 p.m. on first, third and some fifth Sundays. Dances are mainstream on the first Sundays and plus on the third Sundays. Cost is $8. New dance classes for beginners are Wednesdays from 7 to 9 p.m. A partner is not required. The Happy Hoppers: Square dance lessons for beginners with experienced dancers to partner and assist in class. Skandia Folkdance Society: First Friday dance, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. lesson, 8:30 to 11 p.m. dance, first and third Fridays, Cedar Valley Grange, 20526 52nd Ave. W, Lynnwood. All Comers Night is Jan. 6, celebrating the society’s musicians. $15 for non-members.

Sky Valley Whirlwind Square Dance Club: Round dance workshops 7:30 p.m., plus mainstream dances, 8 to 10:30 p.m. third Fridays, $7. Mainstream lessons start Jan. 12. TriWay Grange, 35th Ave. SE and Seattle Hill Road, Mill Creek; 360-794-8240.

Voices of the Village Dance: The Voices of the Village and Jon Dalgarn of Out of Ashes provide the music for this event for adults with developmental disabilities, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 12, Immaculate Conception Church, 1200 E Fifth St., Arlington. Cost is $5 which includes a snack and craft. Caregivers get in free.
