At this rate, “The Real World” will be hitting Everett in no time.
The next season of MTV’s “The Real World”— brace yourselves, 30-somethings — its 18th, will land in Denver, according to an announcement from the network today.
The show has already hit New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, Miami, Boston, Seattle, Hawaii, New Orleans, Chicago, Las Vegas, Paris, San Diego, Philadelphia, Austin and Key West.
We’re running out of places.
Still, Denver is all fired up for nabbing the 18th season, one which will surely be touted by MTV as the best and fiercest ever, with the exception of the original.
“The State of Colorado is already known for its unbeatable skiing and Rocky Mountain vistas,” Colorado Governor Bill Owens said in MTV’s press release. “‘The Real World’ will showcase a different side of Colorado, with Denver’s burgeoning nightlife and the countless cultural and entertainment options that make our state capital ‘Real’ world-class. MTV has made an outstanding choice.”
He later added, “Denver will provide the perfect backdrop to the 18th rendition of drunken vomiting, racial and homosexual tension and eating disorders.”
Oh, wait. That was me.
