New York singer-songwriter Fionn Ò Lochlainn will star Saturday in the 12th annual Rosehill Revue in Mukilteo.
Accompanying himself on acoustic guitar, piano and mandolin, Ò Lochlainn is a popular musician whose cutting-edge style combines classical music with an eclectic mix of folk, blues, celtic and rock ‘n’ roll. His creative genius is reminiscent of Led Zeppelin, early David Bowie and Pink Floyd.
“When Fionn played ‘Waterside’ for our radio show, he left everyone in the room breathless,” said NPR producer Mark Sutton. “His voice is incredibly pure.… an amazing performer!”
This year’s added matinee for families also provides a respite for shoppers at the annual Mukilteo all-city garage sale. Master of ceremonies David Blacker will introduce others in the revue line-up: vocals by Gwen Warren and the Clark sisters; Devon Badoo and “Improv-DUH?” a comic, improvisation troupe attending Edmonds Community College; the Mukilteo Community Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Trevor Lutzenhiser; and, during the evening performance only, a heartwarming presentation of “The Violin Lesson” by Everett Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Fred Chu.
The Rosehill Revue benefits Gene Nastri Community School of the Arts.
